Three weeks before the one-year anniversary of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton's tragic murder, the foundation created in her memory has found a home.

The city of Chicago has leased two unused office spaces in the Martin Luther King Community Center, 4314 S. Cottage Grove, to Pendleton's father, who founded the organization.

The Foundation will provide mentoring, tutoring, computer and recreation programs for young people after school.

The lease allows the Hadiya Pendleton Foundation to use the 150,000-square-foot space through 2016.
