Around 30 percent of Chicago public schools, 206 in total according to ABC 7, still don't have air conditioning. That's about to change though.
On Tuesday, Mayor Rahm Emanuel issued an order that air conditioning will be installed in all remaining schools within the next five years.
Upgrades will begin this summer with the costs coming out of the CPS' budget.
