Ray J is reportedly escaping jail time for the assault case stemming from an incident at a Beverly Hills hotel in May.

TMZ says the singer's attorney struck a plea deal on Thursday.  He's pleading no contest to misdemeanor trespassing, while the three other charges of sexual battery, assault on a police officer and resisting arrest have all been dismissed.

Ray J has been given three years probation, and must complete 50 hours of community service as well as 12 courses on anger management and alcohol therapy.

Ray was arrested earlier this summer at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel for causing a disturbance and allegedly groping a woman.  He reportedly kicked a police car window and became violent with police on his way out.
