Born in Chicago in 1990, David's first love was actually basketball. It wasn't until his collegiate basketball career was coming to a close in 2011 that he became an artist. Under the name of "D Lo" he released several mixtapes. In 2014 he officially changed his stage name to his birth name, David Lopez, and released his first single “Champ."

In 2015 Lopez founded Passion Park Entertainment and began to release new projects. His first release was the music video for "Lonely Days," which would turn to be the lead single off of his debut LP and also his biggest hit to date. On October 27th, 2015 Lopez's debut album, "Preacher's Son," was released to the public via Passion Park Entertainment.
