Indiana Pacers superstar Paul George suffered a horrendous right leg injury in the U.S. national team’s intrasquad scrimmage Friday night. George was on a fast break lay-up when he jumped in the air with James Harden with 9:33 left in the fourth quarter. On his way down his leg smashed onto the bottom of the backboard pole and cracked in half.
Trainers ran out onto the floor, and George was immediately rushed out of the arena on a stretcher. Coach Mike Krzyzewski decided not to finish the scrimmage out of respect to George and his family.
