Jay Z is a former part-owner of the Brooklyn Nets, and he is being hit a hefty lawsuit.  He is being asked to pay up $600 million dollars, following a dispute over the Brooklyn Nets’ logo.

Here’s the Tea: Dr. Francois de Cassagnol says he was forced to file a lawsuit against the rapper after trying to reach out to him and the Nets for over 10 years. Dr. De Cassagnol claims that he trademarked “Brooklyn Nets” a long time, before the team moved there.  So now he wants to collect:

“For the last 10 years I’ve continuously reached out to these folks and in return all I got is insult after insult,” Dr. De Cassagnol said. “Now it’s time to go on trial to finally resolve these issues…”
