VH1′s Single Ladies has officially been canceled and will not return for a fourth season.
Kudos to Queen Latifah the show's executive producer, her Flavor Unit Entertainment, produced VH1's first ever hourlong scripted series. Latifah released a statement on why the show will not be returning:
“We’ve been proud to deliver three seasons of the drama, romance and style that engaged viewers in each episode ofSingle Ladies,” VH1 said in a statement. ”Although we’ve decided not to move forward with another season, we hope to work again with the talented cast, creatives and producers as well as our partners at Flavor Unit Entertainment in the near future. We also thank the show’s fans for their support since the premiere in 2011.”
The decision to cancel Single Ladies comes two days after the cable network picked up 1990s-set scripted drama Hindsight.
Hindsight is VH1′s third original scripted drama following Hit the Floor, which was recently renewed for a second season.
