Chance The Rapper’s groundbreaking Coloring Book project marks its milestone 10-year anniversary on Wednesday (May 13).

The mixtape arrived on May 13, 2016, blending elements of gospel, soul, hip hop and other genres. The Chicago, Illinois-born artist, 33, became the first independent artist to score multiple Grammys, including in the Best Rap Album category, after Coloring Book. “It’s a deep thing that's hard for me to articulate, but I thought of the Coloring Book as: you're as a parent, you're teaching these lessons, but you're also setting up certain boundaries and outlines for the kids to work within,” Chance The Rapper told Complex of the project’s title. “And I thought Coloring Book kind of gave off that same idea of ‘I'm giving you the means to create, but I'm also giving you certain parameters to work with.’”

Chance The Rapper will host a Coloring Book movie night on Saturday (May 16) to celebrate the milestone anniversary of the monumental mixtape, per the Chicago Tribune. The sold-out event will take place at Rooftop Cinema Club Fulton Market, featuring a screening of Chance The Rapper’s convert film and a Q&A session.
