Police responded to call at 4:15 yesterday of a child who had been shot. When they arrived at the home on 96th and Escanaba they found a 3 year old boy with a gunshot wound to the face. The toddler was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital where he was pronounced dead. According to the family, they were in another room when they heard a gunshot and found the boy. Police are currently investigating. More details to come as they develop.
