Going to work to what seemed like a regular day turned deadly for 36 year old Deidre Silas.
During a DCFS home visit for 6 children, she was attacked by Benjamin H Reed. Reed stabbed Deidre multiple times killing her at the scene.
The children remained unharmed and were taken into the custody of Children Services.
Reed has been charged with first degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
