The Supreme Court reversed its Roe v. Wade ruling, permitting states to ban abortion. In Illinois, however, abortion will remain legal. Governor Pritzker expressed his disgust at the Supreme Court ruling and vowed to protect pro-choice legislation. The governor states, "In Illinois, we are a state committed to expanding access to reproductive health care including abortion care, contraception access, fertility treatment, and gender-affirming care."
