Florida Rejects AP African American Studies Course For High School Students

According to The Daily Beast, the Florida Department of Education rejected the Advanced Placement African American Studies course proposed by the College Board. According to reports, the Florida Department of Education used governor DeSantis’ Stop W.O.K.E act to block the Advanced Placement African American Studies course. The course was supposed to introduce high school students to African American studies and highlight teachings on literature, arts, political science, geography, and other subjects.
