According to ABC7 Chicago, the 1901 project was approved by the Chicago City Council this Wednesday, a $7 billion initiative to transform 55 acres around the United Center. It is expected to add housing, retail, and entertainment space to the West Side, with construction looking to start as soon as this summer.
