5th Be A Part Of The Light Kickoff & Tree Lighting Ceremony

On December 3rd, My block My Hood My City along with hundreds of community members and volunteers will be bringing some holiday cheer and hope to the Southside of Chicago.
We invite you to join us to decorate homes down King Drive at 1pm, followed by a free event at 3pm consisting of a tree lighting ceremony and festive fun for the whole family.
We will be serving up some holiday cheer, hot cocoa, holiday treats and there will be special musical guest performances by Slique Jay Adams, Keya Tremmell, Danny Bot Steward, and Sandy Redd.
The event means much more than hanging up holiday decorations, it’s about bringing joy and hope to as many people as possible. With your help King Dr. will be as magnificent as the Mag Mile!
