The NBA All-Star games will no longer be East versus West format. It's all playground style now!
Basically, the player with the most votes in each conference will be named captain. Both captains will take turn choosing their team. Both the teams will also be playing for a charity or national organization to support local efforts.
The change will take place with this season's game in Los Angeles on February 18, 2018. The 2018 All-Star Game in Los Angeles will be the first one in NBA history that is not East vs. West.
