The Dallas Cowboys teammates had a meeting with the owner of the team, Jerry Jones, to discuss some of the recent remarks he made about the NFL protests. Many of the players took offense to what Jones said about players protesting the flag.
During the meeting, Jones wanted to ensure the players saw the bigger picture regarding the business side of the situation regarding TV ratings and sponsors according to ESPN.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said "It went well. I mean we ironed out everything that we needed to at this time."
According to ESPN, Jones also said "If there's anything that is disrespectful to the flag, then we will not play. Understand? We will not ... if we are disrespecting the flag, then we will not play. Period."
