Nicki Minaj's 38-year-old brother Jelani Maraj has been convicted for predatory sexual assault after being charged with raping an 11-year-old girl who was his step daughter.
The charges could carry to a potential 25 years to life in prison. The girl, who is now 14, testified in court that she was assaulted repeatedly over eight month in 2015 at Jelani Maraj's home.
The prosectors say DNA evidence does support the allegations. On top of this piece of evidence, the girl's younger brother testified that he witnessed one incident. Maraj's lawyers are denying the rape allegations and claimed the girl's mother is trying to extort Nicki Minaj to pay $25 million in "hush" money.

Nicki Minaj has not commented and lawyers say that he will appeal.
