A gunman in a rural Northern California began to randomly open fire at several sites killing four people. The shooter also open fire and wounded others at Rancho Tehama Elementary School before police shot him dead, authorities said.
Family members identified the shooter as Kevin Neal, according to NBC News affiliate KCRA 3.
According to CBS News, the suspect had a semi-automatic rifle and two handguns, and no motive has been declared. One child is wounded at the school and another child was injured in a car that Neal opened fired at with a woman inside as well.
Authorities said one of the four victims killed was a neighbor he was accused of assaulting in January, the Associated Press reported.
