CPD Holds First Meeting Today To Help With Carjacking

The Chicago Police Department is conducing a meeting to take action against the major spike against carjacking on Monday.

According to ABC 7 News, The task force was formed after a spike in carjackings and street crimes in the city.The task force is a coordinated effort between local, state and federal law enforcement to crack down on the carjackings in the area.

86 carjackings have been reported in 2018 as of February 1.
