There is a active shooter situation taking place right now in Rockford. The incident occured at the Extended Stay Hotel.The hotel is located off of I-90 & Route 20. A Sheriff was shot while serving a warrant. The shooter is 45 yr old, Floyd E Brown of Springfield. Brown is driving a light blue or silver Mercury Grand Marquis with either Illinois license plate BF13112 or temporary plate 4850256.The suspect is armed and dangerous and on the loose.
