WGCI - Chicago Survivors
Offer crisis intervention, supportive counseling and comprehensive referral services to surviving family members of Chicago homicide victims;
Work collaboratively to provide training in sensitive and effective communication with and treatment of victim’ families to law enforcement, court personnel, medical examiner’s office, emergency rooms and other systems family members interact with in the aftermath of homicide;
Foster a Community of Survivors to promote peer-to-peer empathy, support, education and healing from one another, and to contribute to anti-violence work through their collective voice and experience
Big 95.5 - 100 Club Chicago
The 100 Club of Chicago provides for the families of first responders who have lost their lives in the in the line of duty in Cook and Lake Counties.
Over the past 52 years, the 100 Club has served 267 families with over $11 million dollars.
The 100 Club currently has 30 dependents receiving assistance from the educational assistance program and there are an additional 69 children who will be eligible for assistance as they reach college age
V103 - Chicago Youth Programs
Started in Cabrini Green in 1984 , and serve Chicago’s at-risk youth with the goal of helping them to make the transformative step out of poverty
Provide comprehensive programs including; two pediatric clinics, academic tutoring, mentoring, recreation, and social-emotional learning
Programs begin at birth and serve youth until age 25
On average, by the time they graduate high school, a student has been in programs for 12 years
Programs are accessible, there’s no fees and the program includes door to door transportation
