Rihanna Is Officially The World's Richest Female Musician

In the words of NeNe Leakes, Rihanna's "rich, b*tch!"

On Tuesday (June 4), Forbes announced that Robyn Rihanna Fenty is worth a whopping $600 million dollars, putting her at #37 on this year's Richest Self-Made Women list, and making her the wealthiest female musician in the world "ahead of the likes of Madonna ($570 million), Céline Dion ($450 million) and Beyoncé ($400 million)."

While the 31-year-old singer turned business mogul has made a ton from her music, most of her fortune is from her businesses, and specifically her partnership with LVMH (Moët Hennessy, Louis Vuitton— the world’s largest luxury group). "Pop star Rihanna has made a fortune from Fenty Beauty, the makeup brand she co-owns with luxury goods group LVMH," the magazine detailed. Fenty, which was founded in September 2017, generated an estimated $570 million in revenue last year alone. According to Forbes, the entire operation is worth, conservatively, more than $3 billion. The American business magazine estimates that LVMH "owns an estimated 50% of it, while Rihanna has about 15%, a figure a spokesperson for the artist disputed but wouldn’t clarify further."

Just last month, Rihanna added to her empire, announcing a Paris fashion house called Fenty, marking the first time a woman has created an original brand at LVMH and the first time a woman of color has been at the top of an LVMH Maison (house). Rihanna's line is also the first new house created by the group since Christian Lacroix in 1987.

If that wasn't enough, Rihanna also owns Savage X Fenty lingerie line with Los Angeles-based online fashion firm TechStyle Fashion Group.

Guess all that "work, work, work, work, work," paid off!
