After winning a World Series more than 460 games, Cubs manager Joe Maddon was let go of his position of manager. After a meeting with team president of operations, Theo Epstein, they both decided it was time to part ways after the end of his contract. Maddon stated, “I’m really excited about the future. I’m excited for the Cubs' future," Maddon said. "I will remain a Cubs fan. Absolutely. The players, I’ve talked to them already. I insist that they stay in touch. I’m going to stay in touch with them." We wish him the best!
