Westside Chicago rapper Yung Stakks delivers sharp, gritty, fly and flashy verses about real life situations. Appealing to both those who liked his street style and party anthems, his debut mixtape In My Own Lane was released in 2016. The release included the singles "Stakk Money", "Ballin", and SDGB (ft. G Herbo ) as well as production by platinum producers Zaytovenand Sonny Digital.
Summer 2017, just before preparing his “In My Own Lane” tour run with Think It’s A Game A&R Bigga Rankin, an assassin attempted to take Yung Stakks life on the Chicago Westside, shooting him twice with a 9mm pistol while the rapper sat on his grandmothers front porch. One shot entered his stomach, another his hand while covering his head, yet he survived. Months after recovery from the incident Yung Stakks was in a car accident where someone tried to run him and friends off the road, causing major injuries and internal bleeding to the rapper. After surviving the trauma of the streets, Yung Stakks earned an esteemed reputation on the streets of Chicago.
During the next year, Yung Stakks returned to the music scene recording new music and using his social media platforms to connect with his fans by releasing multiple freestyle videos; some that has gone viral. Prepping his newest release for late 2019 early 2020, Yung Stakks is sure to take the game by storm. Check out his interview with Jamal Smallz as Hometurf's Next to Blow!
