The following is a list of cancellations surrounding the Chicagoland area:

Chicago's Lakefront Trail: Closed until further notice starting (3/26)

Chicago St. Patrick's Day : Postponed in Chicago (3/15) and Naperville (3/15)

Various Polling Places: 25 polling places have been moved

Concert Updates:

LANCO concert scheduled for 3/13 at Joe's Live has been rescheduled for 5/29. All tickets for the original date will be honored and transferred automatically.

Little Big Town concerts scheduled for 3/13 & 3/14 at the Chicago Theatre have been rescheduled for 10/22 & 10/23. All tickets purchased for the March 13th show will be honored on the rescheduled date of October 22nd, 2020 and all tickets purchased for the March 14th show will be honored on the rescheduled date of October 23rd, 2020.

Blake Shelton concert scheduled for 3/19 has been cancelled. Previously purchased tickets will be honored at the to-be-announced rescheduled dates in spring 2021.

Hot Country Knights concerts scheduled for 4/16 at Joe's on Weed St. and 4/17 at Joe's Live have been postponed.At this time there are no alternative dates confirmed. We will keep you updated as information becomes available. All ticket buyers will be issued a full refund at the place of purchase. Check back for updates.

Dan + Shay concert scheduled for 4/17 at the United Center has been rescheduled for 8/15. All previously purchased tickets will be honored.

Reba concert scheduled for 4/24 at the Allstate Arena has been rescheduled for 7/24. All tickets will be honored for the new date.

Olivia O'Brien: 'It Was A Sad F**King Tour' at The House of Blues presented by Cricket Wireless postponed. New date is to be announced.

Billie Eilish: 'Where Do We Go Tour' at United Center postponed. New date is to be announced.

Cirque Du Soleil has cancelled all of their shows in Chicago in June.

  • Cirque Du Soleil: has cancelled Chicago shows in June

STUDENT SPORTS

  • Illinois High School Boys Basketball Finals will be played, but fans will be limited to 60 people per school for the remainder of the tournament

COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES

  • University of Chicago: Classes will be take place online for the entire Spring Quarter of 2020, beginning on Monday, March 30.
  • Northwestern University: Spring Break one week longer; Classes will take place online April 4 for a minimum of three weeks
  • DePaul University: Winter Quarter final exams will not be held on campus, and Spring Quarter classes will be delivered remotely whenever possible.
  • Northern Illinois University: Spring Break will last until March 22. Altered courses will begin March 23 through April 4. Goal to return on April 6.
  • Loyola University:Classes online through the end of the semester, and dorms must be emptied by March 19.
  • Illinois State University: Spring Break will last until March 23; Classes will take place online until April 12 at the soonest.
  • University of Illinois:Urbana-Champaign, Chicago and Springfield: Classes begin online or alternative delivery mechanisms, with a goal of completion by March 23.
  • Western Illinois University: Classes canceled March 14-20. Classes will start again using an alternative format Monday, March 21, and continue until at least April 3.
  • Wheaton College: Spring Break plus one week. Classes will take place online March 23.
  • Valparaiso University: Classes will take place online from March 16 to April 12. Regular classes are scheduled to begin again Monday, April 13. 
  • Judson University: Classes will be remote for the rest of the spring semester, and students have to off campus and moved out by Sunday, March 15.
  • Northeastern Illinois University: Any events with 50 or more anticipated people are canceled.
  • Moraine Valley Community College: Spring break to last until March 21. Classes resume remote March 23.
  • North Central College: March 13 last day of in person. No classes on March 16 or March 17 . Prepare for remote learning.
  • Harper College: Remote learning for students March 16-April 12.; March 30-April 12 will be a two-week social distancing period. Employees and students will not come to campus

NURSING HOMES

  • North Shore Senior Center: ALL Center locations closed.
  • Arlington Heights Senior Center: Closed through March to all activities
