Couple Names Their Newborn Twins 'Corona' and 'Covid'

A couple has named their newborn twins Covid and Corona.

According to TMZ, proud parents Preeti Verma and Vimay Verma have decided to name their twins after the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Apparently, the couple decided to give their boy (Covid) and a girl (Corona) these unique names โ€œto spread happiness, not fearโ€ considering everything thatโ€™s transpired during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The celebrity gossip outlet indicates the pair welcomed the twins on March 27 at the Ambedkar Memorial Hospital in Raipur, India. After experiencing a difficult delivery, Preeti explained she and her husband wanted to make the beautiful moment a โ€œmemorableโ€ one, hence the interesting set of names. Despite the reactions others have had to the names, the couple has no intent on changing their minds.
