Emmet Till’s home Will Become A Chicago Museum

In the South Side Of Chicago, Emmet Till and his mother lived there from many years until the tragic death of Emmet Till. Till was murdered and tortured by white men that believed he whistled at an older white woman.

The protection of this sacred home at 6427 S. at. Lawrence Ave. was the only thing from keeping this home from being demolished. Chicago decided to make Till’s home a permanent landmark for the city of Chicago.
