Nick Jonas Breaks Silence On Hospitalization, Reveals Painful Injuries

Nick Jonas has finally spoken on the injury that caused him to be hospitalized over the weekend.

During Monday’s (May 17) episode of The Voice, the “Spaceman” crooner broke his silence on the mysterious injuries he sustained mere days before the show’s broadcast. The 28-year-old superstar revealed he'd taken a nasty spill off of a bike, causing him to suffer a cracked rib and multiple "other bumps and bruises." (Ouch!)

Thankfully, though, the Jonas Brothers member assured fans watching at home that he’s “feeling OK.”

“I’ve been better, but I’m doing alright,” he quipped to host Carson Daly at the start of the show, according to E! News. “[I have] a cracked rib from a spill on a bike and a few other bumps and bruises.”

“I just wanted to go ahead and say that in case I’m not as physically enthusiastic as I usually am,” explained the “Jealous” musician, who jokingly pled his fellow Voice coach Blake Shelton not to make him laugh because “it hurts” to do so, to which the country star playfully quipped back, “You’re just trying to get sympathy votes on this show.”

TMZ was the first to break the news of Jonas’ hospitalization, albeit with very few details as it was initially reported that the “Chains” star had been filming a secret project at the time when he injured himself. It was also reported that Jonas had a fairly short hospital stay, as he returned home hours later after the incident transpired on Saturday (May 15).

Even so, a cracked rib is nothing to laugh about, so we’re wishing Nick a safe and speedy recovery.
