LISTEN: Brent Faiyaz Delivers His Anticipated Third Album 'Icon'

Brent Faiyaz has served up his latest body of work just in time for Valentine's Day.

The accomplished R&B singer delivered his third studio album Icon via ISO Supremacy/UnitedMasters on Friday, February 13. The album contains 10 tracks, beginning with the symphonic sounds of "white noise." before it smoothly transitions into "wrong faces." It continues with the lead single "have to," which is produced by Tommy Richman, Dpat, Andrew Kim, Jonah Roy and Noah Williamson, followed by the latest single "butterflies." Raphael Saddiq served as executive producer of the album while hitmakers Benny Blanco, Chad Hugo, Jordan Ware, Mike Dean, and others contributed.

To celebrate the album's release, Brent Faiyaz dropped the music video for "wrong faces." The Cole Bennett-directed visuals begin with Brent seated in a black sports car that's parked on the beach while it rains. From there, he gets out and sings the song while he walks through the pouring rain on the beach. As he walks, he's surrounded by women. One of them screams and yells at him while others in bikinis run into the ocean.

Icon is the official follow-up to Brent Faiyaz's successful sophomore LP, Wasteland. The 19-track album features hits like "All Mine," "Wasting Time" featuring Drake & The Neptunes, "Ghetto Gatsby" with Alicia Keys, and "Gravity" with DJ Dahi & Tyler The Creator. Wasteland hit the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and went platinum within a year of its release.

Prior to Icon, Brent Faiyaz dropped his debut mixtape, Larger Than Life. The project holds 14 tracks with numerous collaborations, including Missy Elliott, Coco Jones, A$AP Rocky, BabyFace Ray, N3WYRKLA, and more.
