Shelia C. Morgan is the President and CEO of the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council (Chicago MSDC). Shelia brings a wealth of knowledge and familiarity to Chicago MSDC, as she has a 20+ plus year relationship with the Council. Shelia began her career as a programming analyst at Northern Illinois Gas Company (NICOR). At Nicor, Shelia was selected for the management fast track program and her career developed rapidly. Shelia has extensive experience with a number of Fortune 500 corporations. She has been Associate Director of Supplier Diversity at Kraft Foods and before Kraft, was National Director of Business Development Diversity for Square D/Schneider Electric, and Manager of Diversity Business Development for Johnson Controls, and was Executive Director of the Chicago Minority Business Opportunity Committee (MBOC) an organization funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency. Shelia has been recognized nationally, earning numerous awards including The Chicago Defender Women of Excellence, the Asian Pacific American Community Advocate Award and the State Farm Phenomenal Women Award. Shelia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Michael Louis University.
