Tory Lanez and his lawyer have filed an appeal against his guilty verdict.
Tory and his lawyer are saying that the conviction was unfairly submitted irrelevant evidence that made him look bad.
Jose Baez, Tory’s new lawyer, claims during the trial, the prosecution submitted a shirtless picture of Tory with his gun tattoos for “identification” purposes, but Baez believes they were trying to sway the jury to believe that Tory had a fondness for guns. Baez also says it was reversible error for prosecutors to threaten to present Tory's rap lyrics to the jury.
Tory is set to be sentenced in April.
