Per TMZ, Tyrese Gibson is being sued for over $25,000 by a home owner for allegedly damaging the property with "excessive alterations." Tracy Wolf, the property manager, claims that he signed a 6-month lease starting in February, and started "adding structures" after moving in, including "altering electrical panels, adding outlets that weren't up to code, painting a marble fireplace in a shiny gold metallic color, closing off doors and windows, and causing damage to the HVAC units."
Tyrese claims that he made some changes for "privacy concerns" and that none of the materials he used are attached to the homes existing structure and that all changes made are "temporary." See video below.
The property owner states that the changes made were not temporary, and went on to claim that Tyrese also tried to have 22 banana tress removed from the property, drilled holes into the wrought iron gates, and added a new stucco exterior. The owner claims that Tyrese was asked multiple times to not make any changes without approval, but he did so anyway.
