According to Complex, the Chicago rapper G Herbo was sentenced to three years of probation instead of jail time for his federal wire fraud case. In December 2020, Herbo and five others were charged with their participation, accumulating $1.5 million in charges with stolen identities to further their lavish lifestyle for "goods and services like private jet trips, a personal chef, as well as designer puppies." Herbo is ordered to pay $139,878 in restitution and an additional $5,500 fine. Herbo took to Instagram Stories later expressing he is sure no one close to him will snitch on him after he made a plea deal.
