According to XXLmag, on Sunday, Lil Durk received his first Grammy award in his rap career. Durk took home the award in the Best Melodic Rap Performance with J. Cole for their collab "All My Life." His album Almost Healed went certified double platinum at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
Killer Mike won three awards for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performace. Along with Future and Andre 3000 winning two in the same category. Coco Jones wins Best R&B Performance. Victoria Monet wins Best New Artist. Jay-Z received the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award when he called out the Grammys in his acceptance speech for snubbing his wife Beyonce for the Album of the Year award. This year's Grammys was very much full of surprises.
