According to XXL, it has been reported that a new trial date was set for the Young Dolph murder case. On Monday, June 3rd, the accused murders Cornelius Smith and Justin Johnson trial has been rescheduled for September 3rd when it was originally set on Monday.
Young Dolph was shot and killed while visiting his hometown bakery on November 17th, 2021. Many fans and artists mourned the rappers' death and wanted justice. Weeks later after his death, four men were arrested in connection with his murder. Since then the trial has been moving slowly, and Johnson's lawyer argued that the trial should be elsewhere due to the extensive media coverage including a jury from a different county. The judge granted the motion.
