According to BET, Martin Lawrence is co-producing a reboot of his hit tv series "Martin" called "Young Martin." The hour long drama-series is set in modern-day Detroit following Martin Payne during his teenage years and transition into adult hood. The original series aired from 1992 to 1997 centered around Payne being a funny radio host, his group of friends, and his love interest Gina Waters, played by Tisha Campbell-Martin.
