Sonya Massey Fatal Police Shooting

According to CNN, shocking bodycam footage was released of the fatal shooting of Sonya Massey, on Monday.

Massey, a 36-year-old black women called 9-1-1 for help because she felt like their was someone creeping around the house on July 6th. The video shows two Sangamon County sheriff officers responding to Masseys call.

Inside the home, deputy Sean Grayson and his partner spoke with her and then things escalated when Grayson asked Massey to turn off the stove of boiling water. It shows Grayson then taking a step back while Massey picks up the pot and tells her, "away from your hot steaming water." Massey responded.

"I rebuke you in the name of Jesus," she says

"Huh?" The deputy responded

"I rebuke you in the name of Jesus," she repeats.

"You better F***ing not or I swear to God I'll f***ing shoot you in the f***ing face.

Grayson draws his fire arm and points it at Massey as she pleads for her life and apologizes while lifting the pot. Three gun shots were heard and you then see Massey fall to the ground.

Grayson confirmed gun shot wound to the face while calling for emergency responders. Grayson claims, "she had boiling water and came at me with boiling water.

There has been no comment from Grayson or his attorney.
