According to E!News, Carlee Russell, the woman who faked her kidnapping last year in July 2023, breaks silence on Instagram for her 27th Birthday.
Sharing updates on her growth, she posted on July 22nd, "I wasn't going to make a birthday post but I would be remiss not to publicly acknowledge the goodness God has shown me."
Last summer, Russell claim to be kidnapped off the side of the highway while trying to help a child. After disappearing for 49 hours she returned home and since claimed it was all a hoax.
Russell pleaded guilty in March 2024 on two counts of filing a fake police report. She is ordered to serve 12 months of probation and to pay 18K in restitution.
