According to Revolt, the rapper DaBaby launches a new mental health resource program called DaBaby Cares on Thursday, September 26th.
Honoring his brother, Glenn Johnson, who committed suicide in 2020, he was the inspiration behind this initiative. "To keep it real, I've been thrown off mentally and spiritually since we lost big bruh," he said.
"With that being said, I know from experience that the majority of mental health issues come from unchecked childhood trauma," he continued.
Dababy's new focus is creating a safe place for people struggling with mental health and honoring the people who have lost a loved one to suicide, with specific targets being "black males and the youth."
