Keke Palmer Opens Up about Living Below her Means

According to Vibe, Keke Palmer might be one of the few celebrities who lives below her means.

On October 12th, Palmer spoke at the Building Wealth Today for Tomorrow Financial Summit, giving insight into how she navigated financial hardships early in her career. Despite the adults around her while she was younger, Palmer took matters into her own hands by filing for bankruptcy at 18 years old.

After learning the ups and downs of financial independence, Palmer now lives a life where she spends smartly and invests in her business. "If I got 10,000 in the bank, then that means my house would be $500 a month," she explained.

"Instead of wearing Gucci, I wear Zara. I live in a good place. I don't drive a cool car, cause my money is going else where... I got a Toyota right now in my drive way," she continued. Palmer has learned a lot on how to build generational wealth, sitting on the panel for the summit gave the audience more views coming from a celebrity on living below one's means.
