According to TMZ, Irv Gotti has passed away at the age of 54. While the cause of death is still unknown, has been open about his health struggles, specifically with diabetes and a stroke last year that left him in need of a cane for assistance. The Murder Inc. founder helped to shape the sound of late 90's and early 2000's music, working on albums like Jay Z's "Reasonable Doubt", DMX's "It's Dark and Hell is Hot", and Ja Rule's "Venni Vetti Vecci". Gotti is survived by his three children: Angie, Sonny, and JJ.
