According to ESPN, Serena Williams is joining in part ownership of the Toronto Tempo, the newest WNBA team to join the league. She stated that this opportunity is not just about basketball but instead "showcasing the true value and potential of female athletes." This adds to the list of teams Williams owns stake in, including the Miami Dolphins, Angel City FC, and the Los Angeles Golf Club.
