According to ABC 7 Chicago, Pastor John Hannah and New Life Covenant Church have purchased Happy Liquor and Foods in Chatham in an effort to curb gang violence and transform the neighborhood. The corner store saw heavy gang and drug traffic even before it closed its doors. Pastor Hannah hopes to build a grocery store and medical facility, encouraging positive change for the community.
