According to ESPN, the fan who had made an insult about Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte's mother, who died in a car accident in 2017, has been indefinitely banned from all MLB ballparks. Marte was brought to tears by the fan's comments while at bat in the seventh inning against the White Sox Tuesday. It is not publicly known what the fan said to upset Marte.
