According to NASCAR, Shane van Gisbergen dominated the Chicago Street Course, winning both the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series races from pole position. His weekend sweep matched Kyle Busch’s 2016 feat at Indianapolis, making them the only drivers to ever do so. Van Gisbergen took the Cup win under caution after Cody Ware’s crash, narrowly avoiding overtime. Ty Gibbs finished second, while Tyler Reddick surged from 15th to third late in the race.
