According to Politico, A federal judge sentenced ex-Kentucky officer Brett Hankison to nearly three years in prison for using excessive force during the 2020 Breonna Taylor raid. Despite none of Hankison's shots hitting anyone, the judge decided to hold him accountable, ignoring a DOJ recommendation for no prison time. Hankison's sentence marks the first prison sentence of any of the police in the case.
