According to TMZ, Cardi B is being sued for assault and battery by a Jane Doe over a 2023 incident at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas. The woman claims Cardi asked the crowd to throw water on her to cool off, but when she did so, along with others, Cardi allegedly threw a microphone at her. The lawsuit stems from this alleged reaction during the performance, which the woman says caused injury. Cardi was investigated for the incident in 2023 but was not charged until now.
