According to HotNewHipHop, MTV has released the nominations for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, with Kendrick Lamar shining through as the most recognized rapper in the event. Though artists like Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars beat him out in pure nominations alone with 12 and 11 awards, respectively, Kendrick Lamar represents as the most nominated hip-hop artist this year. The MTV Video Music Awards will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
