Kelis Accuses Beyonce Of Stealing Sample

Kelis is crying foul over what she claims is an unauthorized sample on “Renaissance.” Apparently Beyoncé used “Get Along With You,” a Neptunes-produced track from her 1999 debut – for her song, “Energy.”

Apparently the ex-Mrs. Nas found out via her fan page. Someone was celebrating the “collab,” and Kelis – using her celebrity chef account – jumped in hopping mad. “My mind is blown too because of the level of disrespect and utter ignorance of all [three] parties involved,” she said. “Some of the people in this business have no soul or integrity and they have everyone fooled.”

Of course, not everyone felt sorry for Kelis. One user said, “You should be nothing but thrilled that your song is being used. If you do not own the rights to a song, you have absolutely ZERO say it how it is used for anything. Just STFU and think ‘Cool, my song will be associated to one of the biggest albums of the year.’”

  • “Can’t steal something that isn’t yours in the first place,” another person said. “Song was written and produced by the Neptunes. Should’ve gotten better representation or actually read your contract.” So far, Bey hasn’t commented about it…
