The Weeknd left fans in Los Angeles disappointed Saturday night when he was forced to pull the plug on his second “After Hours Til Dawn” concert at SoFi Stadium because he lost his voice. The R&B star was in the middle of performing “Can’t Feel My Face” when he called it quits.
“I can’t give you the concert I want to give you,” he told the audience. “I’m going to make sure everyone’s good, gets your money back, and I’ll do a show real soon for you guys, but I wanted to come out and personally apologize and not tweet it or Instagram it.”
He added, “I apologize. I’m so sorry,” noting, “You know how much this kills me. I love you. Thank you so much.”
- The Weeknd also reached out to fans on social media, explaining, “My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped,” promising fans a new date in the future. His next scheduled show is set to go down September 22nd at Rogers Stadium in Toronto.
